Three old Windows right-click tricks that still rock - gallawaynoter1965
They say you can't teach an nonmodern dog new tricks. But what most old tricks? As a old Windows user, I can tell you that occasionally I get so accustomed to doing things a certain way, I forget that in that location are faster, easier slipway.
With that in mind, I've domed high three redress-click tricks you may induce lost. Or never nonheritable. Either way, you'll be gladiola you know them. (Note that these are all for Windows 7/8. They may be on hand in XP and/or Vista as symptomless–I put on't recall–but I no longer possess those operating systems happening which to double-check.)
1. Right-dog the desktop for bigger icons
On today's higher-resolution displays, you may find your screen background icons a bit wee for your liking. If then, right-click any empty spot on the desktop, computer mouse over View, and then penetrate either Medium icons or Biggish icons. Fast! Bigger icons.
On my 13.3-edge laptop computer, which has a rather high native answer (1,920 x 1,080), the Medium setting is by all odds preferable.
2. Right-clink Taskbar icons for new items and shortcuts
Take care those icons in your Taskbar? Mine include not only Chromium-plate and Explorer, but also Outlook, Word, and Surpass.
When you right-click any of them, Windows gives you a leaning of time-saving shortcuts: recent documents, most-visited sites, new appointee (in the case of Outlook), so on. In other words, or else of running an app and then departure about your business, this lets you choose your business and launch the app simultaneously.
Information technology's a small thing, but it's definitely one of my favorite little Windows tricks.
3. Right-click screen background icons to pin to Start Menu Beaver State Taskbar
Speaking of icons, when you right-cluck any ikon that's on your desktop, you'll see two options in the list that appears: Pin to Start and Pin to Taskbar.
These are great for putt your favorite programs iin your best-loved debut area. For example, some old-school users all the same like to start with the Start Menu. In person, I'm a fan of safekeeping my virtually-used apps on the Taskbar. This rectify-click option makes either one a snatch up.
I realize these are some pretty novice-oriented tips, but equally I famous above, not everyone learns this stuff and nonsense at the bulge out, and not everyone remembers it when they dress.
